Following an extensive redevelopment, The Temperance Inn at Ambleside is set to be the jewel in the town’s crown. Nestled in the heart of the town, close to independent gift shops and local galleries, the inn takes pride of place in the heart of Ambleside.

No doubt a stroll down to Windermere or a hike up one of the area’s famous peaks will be on the cards but if you just fancy hanging out at The Temperance, that’s cool too. Sit back and let the friendly team serve you up a homecooked classic or a light lunch in one of the dining areas while you natter over a drink or two. Although I can’t promise you won’t get side-tracked by the intriguing quirks, funky furniture, and Lakeland artwork.

All totally refurbished, rooms at The Temperance Inn at Ambleside are complete with the comfiest of beds and all the facilities you’ll need for your Lake District stay. While some rooms look onto the winding streets and fell tops, the Superior Rooms present views of Loughrigg.

I’m guessing it’s not just me that’s excited about the much-awaited opening of The Temperance Inn, I’m pretty sure your dog will be waiting with slobbering jowls too! There are several rooms available that are dog friendly so Fido, Rover, or Spot can chill to their hearts’ content after a day exploring.
